Birthday Party #2

Jess' whole family came home for the holidays, so once everyone got here we had another party for Conner. It was lots of fun to have it with all the cousins, and of course he made out with some fun stuff! : ) Grammy and Gramps Walters gave him a Baby V-smile, Chad and Stef and the kids gave him a fun cowboy runner for his room, and Kelli, Scott, and the kids gave him a way cute stuffed animal horse that is so so so soft. Again, he had a very successful first birthday.

It's Fun To Be One : )

Holy cow! Time flies so fast. Our little guy is already one! I swear though he acts like he's two, atleast! He thinks that he such a big person already, and all he wants to do is what all the adults are doing. He definently keeps us way busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way! He turned one on the 20th. We kind of kept with the theme of his room, and did a Cowboy party. It was lots of fun. I made homemade chili, and my Mom cooked up some mean cornbread. Of course he made a killing with some great gifts too! Jess and I got him a rocking horse, which he's terrified of, and Grandma and Grandpa Moberg got him a cute little tikes coupe car! He loves his car. It was so fun to watch him figure it out right away! What a little smartie! He went right to the door and jumped right in. It has a siren and everything. Uncle Ryan, Aunt April, Emmet, and Weston gave him a sheriff badge to wear and a fun lego set.

We all went and enjoyed some lunch at good old Bar B Que Depot. Yummy!

Of course where else would we find him, but on top of something. He so loves to climb anything and everything. I guess he was probably trying to figure out his escape route.

Emmet and Conner love playing in boxes. I swear he would play in one all night if we let him.

Great Grandma and Grandpa Moberg sent him these way cute cowboy boot slippers. I love love them!

Hangin out with Dad.

Thanks to Grandma Moberg for getting Conner these way cute 1st birthday socks, and he also got a cute shirt that matches them.

Conner and all the goods. We got him a cute little cowboy hat that I found when I went to go and get paper plates and napkins at the Paper Factory. He wouldn't keep it on for very long though, so this picture was probably attempt 38 to get a good one.

It was pretty fun opening presents. He did really good. I wasn't sure if he would be interested in it or not, but he figured it out after the first couple.

Showing off his new outfit. I think that his face is hilarious.

His scary rocking horse. We have made some progress. He does now sit on it if it's not making noise. I especially love Uncle Ryan's face in the background of this picture.

Conner's way cute car. It will be fun to have at the house. It will probably keep him busy long enough for me to get something done, and that's awesome whenever that happens.

I'm not a pro cake decorator or anything, but I thought that the cake turned out pretty cute.

He wasn't to sure what to do with the lit candle though, so Dad helped him out.

Conner is our big eater. He eats mostly anything that you put in front of him, especially sweet stuff. I thought that he would just attack the cake, but who knows I guess maybe he's not a cake person like his mom. He just kind of poked at it for awhile.

I guess Jess couldn't take it any longer, so he grabbed the cake and shoved it right into Conner's little face. Poor guy!

He started to get a little partied out after awhile. Looking back though I think that his first birthday was pretty successful.

Oh Christmas Tree

Jess' parents got this gorgeous huge Christmas tree this year. It was like 15 feet tall! Man was a beauty! Here is how Jess got the star on top with of course my assistance! : )

Happy Birthday to Me!! : )

Another great year down, and what a great birthday! My parents were out of town at Stephanie's college graduation, so we went to Inca's with Jess' parents. It was way yummy as usual! Then Scott had a basketball game that night, so we went to that after dinner. A big thanks goes out to Jan, Jess' Mom, for watching Conner for us that night. After the game we went back to the house, opened presents, and had pumpkin pie, of course! Jan and Tom got me some way cute red heels that I have had my eye on forever, and a fun gift card. Jess took me shopping a couple days after my birthday, so that I could get some cute tops, since my regular ones are not really fitting right now. : ) Then when my parents got home a couple days later we had another party. My Mom really out did herself. She got me a lot of fun way cute stuff. I got a Chi hair straightner, cute tops, some christmas decor for my house, foam stamps for scrapbooking, and some fun new make up. To top it all off, she made me my favorite peppermint cheesecake! A couple of days later, in the mail, I got a fun Macy's gift card in the mail from my Dad. I love birthdays that just keep giving. Thanks Dad! : ) Of course I put that to some good use! What a great birthday.

Our cute little family! Let me explain my husbands facial hair. Him and his brothers grew trashy stashes from Thanksgiving to Christmas. Yeah they turned out pretty trashy! : ) Thank goodness now he has a clean shaven face!

Opening my favorite red shoes! : )

Crazy Uncle Scott loves to ham it up in pictures.

Our Little Crazy Dare Devil

Conner definently takes after Jess in the sense that he has no fear for anything. He's so crazy! His favorite thing to do is climb on or up everything. My Mom had this step ladder out to put up some Christmas stuff, and the next thing we knew he was up on the top step smiling with pride for what he just accomplished. I think that my Sister in Law was just clenching her teeth as I just sat there and watched him to see how he would get himself down. Sure enough he just went back down the way that he got up. I think that I'm just use to seeing him do all these crazy things, so I just sit and watch. He's never really gotten hurt or fallen, so that's good. His most favorite thing to do of all, probably is go up and down the stairs like 50 times. He's never really fallen doing that either. It's pretty funny to watch a little baby walk down the stairs like a big person. He's just getting big so fast!

I've Been Tagged

Okay, so now since I kind of have the computer going right now, and Conner is down for a nap I can finally answer back to my Cousin Annalee's tag. I am super late, but don't worry Annalee I didn't forget. It was actually probably a good thing that it took me so long, because I had a lot of time to think about it. I've read everyone elses answers, and it's funny to hear someone's funny quirks and realize that you are the exact same way! So here it goes....

1. I kind of have this little OCD problem. For some odd reason ever since I was in grade school I have had some problems with certain things. To start I will admit that I don't like to eat off of paper plates, or use paper cups. I'm not sure why, but sometimes it just grosses me out so much that I lose my appetite. When I reach into the cupboard for a cup to get a drink I always have to grab a clear glass. It freaks me out if I can't see what I'm drinking. I also can't eat bread that has been in the freezer, and I can't eat anything that is even close to it's sell by date that's on the package. I know I know weird huh!

2. I'm not a negative person, but I find myself always taking situations and thinking about the worst possible scenerio. Like at night sometimes when I'm going to bed I'll start to think about what I would do if someone broke into our house. I will start to make an escape plan in my head of how I could get Conner from his room the quickest and get out of the house. I'll find myself doing the same thing when I'm driving down the road. I'll think about what if we were to get into an accident, and some how end up in a lake or river, how would I get Conner and I out of the car? I just look at it as being really really prepared for anything, right?! : )

3. I am in love with quilting. I made my first quilt for Conner when he was born, and I haven't been able to stop. It's such an addiction. Right now I have about seven projects going, and two quilts that are done, but just need to be quilted. I just love going to the fabric store, and looking at all the way fun fabric and thinking about what I could make with them. Let's just say if we don't have a girl this time around I am in huge trouble, because there is such way cute girl fabric out there. Everytime I go to the fabric store I swear I get enough fabric to make a toddler quilt.

4. I love love love shopping! Any chance or reason I get to go shopping I take it! I even just take Conner to the mall to play or walk around so that we're even just in the atmosphere of shopping. I defiently took after my Mother. The two of use together could easily just shop forever. Of course Conner kind of slows me down now, but he's still a trooper. I love Christmas time so so so much, and I can't figure out if I love it because I just love the season, or if it's because it's an excuse to shop. I'm sure it's both. : )

5. I absolutely love being a Mom! I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world. There's just something about getting to experience life through someone that is so small, and watching them grow. Conner is so much fun, and I am so thankful that I am able to be with him all day everyday. It would be so hard to have to go to work, and miss out on all the little funny things that he surprises us with everyday. It's so cool to watch how fast they learn things, and to see their little personalities start to come out. I am super excited for this next baby, and I can't wait until this little one lets me start all over again with the whole little baby stage. The little baby stage goes by so fast, and after April had Weston last Wednesday I really realized that Conner is becoming such a toddler. I can't believe that he's going to be one next week! : )

So there you have it, 5 things about myself. Thanks Annalee for tagging me. I couldn't remember the last time I thought about something about myself. I catch myself just thinking about what Conner's going to have for breakfast, or what we're going to do today, or how I'm going to get through the day not being sick. It's always nice to be able to focus on yourself for a bit, right?! : )

Fun With Dad

Conner loves his Dad so so so much! He just gets so excited to see him walk through the door at the end of the day. They are so much alike that it's scary! : )

Lots of Fun

A week or so ago my Mom and April came over to Tri-Cities for April's Dr. Appointment. I was the lucky one that got the privlege to watch sweet little Emmet. It was so much fun to let the two boys play. We have to get it all in before Emmet has to get back to the island.
